Kawira Mwongera is a highly skilled compliance management expert, forensic investigator, and auditor with over 7 years of experience in the charitable and non-profit sector. She brings a rare blend of legal acumen, investigative skill, and governance expertise to her work, having previously served as an Investigations Officer with the Public Benefit Organizations Regulatory Authority (formerly the NGOs Coordination Board), where she played a vital role in ensuring regulatory compliance and upholding organizational integrity. Her work was pivotal in monitoring and guiding the activities of NGOs and foundations registered in Kenya.
She is the founding Chairperson of the Board of Directors for Voice for Women and Girls Rights–Kenya, an affiliate of Journalists for Human Rights (JHR), and also served as the founding Secretary of the Integrated Surgi-Medicins Foundation Kenya.
