Kawira Mwongera is an astute compliance management expert, keen forensic investigator and auditor with a 7-year record of achievement and demonstrated success in the charitable sector having worked as an investigations officer with the former NGOs Coordination Board (now Public Benefit Organizations Regulatory Authority) where her role is pivotal in upholding organizational compliance and integrity in National and International NGOs registered in Kenya.
She was the founding Chair to the Board of Directors of Voice for Women and Girls Rights-Kenya an affiliate of Journalists for Human Rights (JHR), and also the founding Secretary of Integrated Surgi-Medicins Foundation; whereby her competencies in professional conduct, law and organizational management were instrumental in advising and safeguarding the Board's interests.

Her vast experience and knowledge having worked with both National and International NGOs and her passion for compliance and governance management led her to set up and run the firm, Ground Networks Consultants (GND Consult), which is a consortium of law, PR and marketing, branding, fundraising, corporate staffing and audit firms with a multi-national team base of over 50 richly experienced consultants.

Kawira holds a Bachelors Degree in Criminology and Security Studies and a Bachelors Degree in Law. Additionally, she holds a Diploma in Forensics and Criminal Investigations, a Postgraduate Diploma in Law and also attained a certificate in data protection and privacy.
